Artist Statement
My work is an examination of the human experience through my personal lens, I use anthropomorphic designs as a way to bridge the emotional connection between me and my illustrations. I value the emotion and intention that goes behind creating art, If there is no strong emotional connection between the work I am creating, it ends up feeling lackluster. Being observant of the emotional states within the years I have lived comes in tandem with creating illustration.
Often focusing on the “why” rather than the how, mood, composition and style of a piece comes to me as soon as drafting begins. It is important to not get lost in your own nitpicks and focus on the aspects that better encompass the work you are creating.
